Thank you for your interest in volunteering with FATEM. As President of this wonderful organization, I can tell you that I feel the greatest joy when I envision how we can make the Mirebalais region regain its beauty by repairing the roads, implementing a computer lab for the community (especially the children), cleaning the streets, creating jobs for its residents, implementing a drop-in center for senior citizens where they can come and spend time together while getting their blood pressure checked, for example. We can accomplish a lot for the region, and this is your chance to be a part of this great initiative. Please join us in making these dreams become reality. You can assist us as a volunteer with the following:
- Spread the word about FATEM. Tell others what we are about.
- Join the fundraising committee to help with selling admission and raffle tickets to raise funds for our projects.
- Become a youth leader and coordinate activities for FATEM Junior.
- Travel to Mirebalais and share your expertise with the community as instructor, nurse, engineer, etc.
- Join FATEM advisory committee or its Board of Directors.
- Help translate the English version of FATEM website in French or Haitian Creole.
- Become a writer for fatem.org and submit regular columns about Mirebalais and its surroundings by showcasing its hotels, rivers, attractions, great soccer team, etc.
- Share your vision for Mirebalais with us and other visitors of this website by clicking on the “Contact us” link and completing the guest book.
